يَامَنْ لاَ يَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ أَنْبَآءُ الْمُتَظَلِّمِينَ

yaman laa yakhfaa ʿalayhi anbaau almutazallimīn

O He from whom is not concealed news of the aggrieved!

---

وَيَا مَنْ لاَ يَحْتَاجُ فِي قِصَصِهِمْ إلَى شَهَادَاتِ الشَّاهِدِينَ

wayā man lā yahtāju fī qiṣāṣihim ilā shahādāt al-shāhidīn

O He who has no need to be told about them by the witnessing of the witnesses!

---

وَيَا مَنْ قَرُبَتْ نُصْرَتُهُ مِنَ الْمَظْلُومِينَ

wa yā man qarubat nuṣratuhu min al-maẓlūmīn

O He who whose help is near to the wronged!

---

وَيَا مَنْ بَعُدَ عَوْنُهُ عَنِ الظَّالِمِينَ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ

waya man baʿuda ʿawnuhu ʿani alẓẓalimīna qad ʿalimta

O He whose aid is far from the wrongdoers! Thou knowest,

يَا إلهِي مَا نالَنِي مِنْ [فُلاَنِ بْنِ فُلاَن] مِمَّا حَظَرْتَ

yā ilāhī mā nālanī min [fulānin bin fulān] mimmā ḥaẓarta

my God, how so-and-so, son of so-and-so, has harmed me in that which Thou hast forbidden,

---

وَانْتَهَكَهُ مِنّي مِمَّا حَجَزْتَ عَلَيْهِ بَطَراً فِي نِعْمَتِكَ عِنْدَهُ وَاغْتِرَاراً بِنَكِيرِكَ عَلَيْهِ

wa-antahakahu minni mimma hajazta ʿalayhi bataraan fi niʿmatika ʿindahu wa-ightiraran binakirika ʿalayhi

and how he has violated me in that which Thou hast prohibited, showing thereby ingratitude toward Thy favour upon him and delusion concerning what Thou hast denied him.

أللَّهُمَّ فَصَلِّ اللَّهُمَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ

allāhumma faṣalli ʿalā muḥammad wa ālihi

O God, so bless Muhammad and his Household,

---

وَخُذْ ظَالِمِي وَعَدُوِّي عَنْ ظُلْمِي بِقُوَّتِكَ

wakhudh ẓalimī wa ʿaduwwī ʿan ẓulmī biquwwatika

keep my wrongdoing enemy from wronging me through Thy strength,

---

وَافْلُلْ حَدَّهُ عَنِّي بِقُدْرَتِكَ وَاجْعَلْ لَهُ

wa aflul haddahu anni bi qudratika wa aj'al lahu..

blunt his blade toward me through Thy power, and assign to him

---

شُغْلاً فِيَما يَلِيهِ وَعَجْزاً عَمَّا يُناوِيْهِ

shughlan fiyama yaleehi wa'ajzan 'amma yunawihi

a diversion in that which is close to him and the inability to reach his enemy!

---

أللَّهُمَّ وَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ

allāhumma wa ṣalli ʿalā muḥammad wa ālih

O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,

---

وَلاَ تُسَوِّغْ لَهُ ظُلْمِي وَأَحْسِنْ عَلَيْـهِ عَوْنِي،

wa lā tusawwigh lahū ẓulmī wa aḥsin ʿalayhi ʿawnī

let the wrongdoer not find it easy to wrong me, give me good help against him,

---

وَاعْصِمْنِي مِنْ مِثْـلِ أَفْعَالِهِ، وَلا تَجْعَلْنِي فِي مِثْلِ حَالِهِ.

waʿṣimnī min mithli afʿālihi, wa lā tajʿalnī fī mithli ḥālihī

preserve me from the like of his acts, and place me not in the like of his situation!

أللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ ،

allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā muḥammad wa ālihī

O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,

---

وَأَعِدْنِي عَلَيْهِ عَدْوى حَاضِرَةً تَكُونُ مِنْ غَيْظِي بِهِ شِفَاءً،

wa'aidni alayhi `adwaa hadiratan takunu min ghaythi shifa'an

and assist me with an immediate assistance that will heal my rage toward him

---

وَمِنْ حَنَقِي عَلَيْهِ وَفَاءً.

wa min ḥanaqī ʿalayhi wafāʾan

and redeem my fury toward him!

---

أللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ

allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā muḥammad wa ālih

O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,

---

وَعَوِّضْنِي مِنْ ظُلْمِهِ لِي عَفْوَكَ،

waʿawwidhni min ẓulmihī liyaʿfwaka

compensate me for his wronging me with Thy pardon

---

وَأَبْدِلْنِي بِسُوْءِ صنِيعِهِ بِيْ رَحْمَتَكَ،

wa 'abdilnī bi-sū'i sanīʿihi bī raḥmataka

and replace his evil action toward me with Thy mercy,

---

فَكُلُّ مَكْرُوه جَلَلٌ دُونَ سَخَطِكَ،

fakullu makruh jallalun dunaa sakhatika

for every detested thing less than Thy anger is slight

---

وَكُلُّ مُرْزِئَةٍ سَوَاءٌ مَعَ مَوْجِدَتِكَ.

wa kullu murzi'ah sawa'un ma'a mawjidatika

and every disaster next to Thy rancour indifferent!

---

أللَّهُمَّ فَكَمَا كَـرَّهْتَ إلَيَّ أَنْ أَظْلِمَ فَقِنِي مِنْ أَنْ أُظْلَمَ.

allāhumma fa-kamā karrat-i'ī ilayya an adhlima faqinī min an uzhlima

O God, just as Thou hast made me detest being wronged, so also protect me from doing wrong!

---

أللَّهُمَّ لاَ أَشْكُو إلَى أَحَد سِوَاكَ،

allāhumma lā ashku ilā āḥadun siwāka

O God, I complain to no one but Thee,

---

وَلاَ أَسْتَعِينُ بِحَاكِم غَيْرِكَ حَاشَاكَ

wa lā astaʿīnu biḥākim ghayrika ḥāshāka

and I seek help from no ruler other than Thee - how could I?

---

فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ،

fa ṣalli ʿalā muḥammad wa ālih

So bless Muhammad and his Household,

---

وَصِلْ دُعَائِي بِالإِجَابَةِ، وَأَقْرِنْ شِكَايَتِي بِالتَّغْيِيرِ.

waṣil duʿāʾī bi-l-iǧābaẗi, wa-aqrin šikāyatī bi-t-taġyīr

join my supplication to response, and unite my complaint with change!

أَللَّهُمَّ لا تَفْتِنِّي بِالْقُنُوطِ مِنْ إنْصَافِكَ،

allāhumma lā taf'tinī bil-qunūṭi min inṣāfika

O God, tempt me not with despair of Thy just treatment

---

وَلاَ تَفْتِنْـهُ بِالأَمْنِ مِنْ إنْكَارِكَ،

walā tafitinhu bil-amni min inkārik

and tempt him not with feeling secure from Thy disapproval,

---

فَيُصِرَّ عَلَى ظُلْمِي وَيُحَاضِرَنِي بِحَقِّيْ

fayuṣirru ʿalā ẓulmī wayuḥāḍirani bi-ḥaqqī

lest he persist in wronging me and constrain me in my rights.

---

وَعَرِّفْهُ عَمَّا قَلِيْل مَا أَوْعَدْتَ الظَّالِمِينَ،

wa ʿarrifhu ʿammā qalīl mā awʿadt alẓālimīn

Let him soon recognize what Thou hast promised the wrongdoers

---

وَعَرِّفْنِي مَا وَعَدْتَ مِنْ إجَابَةِ الْمُضْطَرِّينَ.

waʿar-rif-ni mā waʿadt-a min ijābat-il-muḍṭar-rīn

and let me recognize Thy promised response to the distressed!

---

أللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ،

allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā muḥammad wa ālih

O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,

---

وَوَفِّقْنِي لِقَبُولِ مَا قَضَيْتَ لِيْ وَعَليَّ،

wa waffiqnī liqabūli mā qadhaīta lī wa ʿalayya

give me success in accepting Thy decrees for me and against me,

---

وَرَضِّنِيْ بِمَا أَخَذْتَ لي وَمِنِّي

wa raḍḍinī bimā akhaḏta lī waminnī

make me pleased with what Thou takest for me and from me,

---

وَاهْـدِنِي لِلَّتِيْ هِي أَقْوَمُ وَاسْتَعْمِلْنِي بِمَا هُوَ أَسْلَمُ.

waahdinii lillatii hiya aqwamu wastam`ilnii bimaa huwa aslamu

guide me to that which is most upright and employ me in that which is safest!

---

أللَّهُمَّ وَإنْ كَانَتِ الْخِيَرَةُ لِيْ عِنْدَكَ

allāhumma wa in kānatil-khayratu lī ʿindaka

O God, if the best for me with Thee lies

---

فِي تَأْخِيرِ الأَخْذِ لِي وَتَرْكِ الانْتِقَامِ

fī taʾkhīr al-ʾakhḏi lī wa tarik al-intiqām

in delaying the taking to task for my sake of him

---

مِمَّنْ ظَلَمَنِيْ إلَى يَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ وَمَجْمَعِ الْخَصْمِ،

mimman ẓalamani ila yawmi al-faṣli wa majmaʿi al-khaṣm

who has wronged me and in refraining from vengeance toward him until the Day of Decision and the Gathering of Disputants,

---

فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ ،

faṣalli ʿalā muḥammad wa ālih

then bless Muhammad and his Household,

---

وَأَيِّدْنِي مِنْكَ بِنِيَّة صَادِقَة وَصَبْر دَائِم،

waʾayyidnī minka binīyat ṣādiqah wa ṣabr dāʾim

strengthen me from Thee with true intention and lasting patience,

---

وَأَعِذْنِي مِنْ سُوءِ الرَّغْبَةِ، وَهَلَعِ أَهْلِ الْحِرْصِ،

wa'a'ithni min su'i al-raghbah, wa hala'i ahl al-hirshe

give me refuge from evil desire and the impatience of the greedy

---

وَصَوِّرْ فِي قَلْبِي مِثَالَ مَا ادَّخَـرْتَ لِي مِنْ ثَوَابِـكَ،

wa ṣawwir fī qalbī mithāla mā addakhartalī min thawābika

and form in my heart the image of Thy reward

---

وَأَعْدَدْتَ لِخَصْمِي مِنْ جَزَائِكَ وَعِقَابِكَ ،

wa aʿdadta li-khasmī min jazāʾika wa ʿiqābika

which Thou hast stored away for me and the repayment and punishment

---

وَاجْعَلْ ذَلِكَ سَبَباً لِقَنَاعَتِي بِمَا قَضَيْتَ ،

wa'aj'al dhalika sababan li-qana'ati bima qadayta

which Thou has prepared for my disputant! Make this a cause of my contentment with what Thou hast decreed

---

وَثِقَتِي بِمَا تَخَيَّرْتَ، آمِينَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ ،

waṯiqatī bimā takhayyar-ta, āmīn rabba al-'ālamīn

and my trust in what Thou hast chosen! Amen, Lord of the worlds!

---

إنَّكَ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ ، وَأَنْتَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء قَدِيرٌ .

'innaka dhū al-faḍli al-'aẓīm, wa 'anta 'alā kulli shay'in qadīr

Thou art of bounty abounding and Thou art powerful over everything.
