Duaa

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

bismi allāhi al-raḥmāni al-raḥīm

In the Name of ALLAH, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate

أَلْحَمْدُ للّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ حَقُّهُ كَما يَسْتَحِقُّهُ حَمْداً كَثِيراً.

al-ḥamdu lillāhi wa-l-ḥamdu ḥaqquhu kamā yastaḥiqquhu ḥamdan kathīran

Praise belongs to ALLAH—and praise is His right, since He deserves it—abundant praise!

وَأَعُوذُ بِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي،

wa'a'ūdhū bihī min sharri nafsī

I seek refuge in Him from the evil of my soul,

إنَّ النَّفْسَ لاَمَّارَةٌ بِالسُّوءِ إلاَّ ما رَحِمَ رَبِّي،

'inna al-nafsa laammāratan bissū'i illā mā raḥima rabbī,'

(for surely the soul commands to evil except as my Lord has mercy).

وَأَعُوذُ بِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ الَّذِي يَزِيدُنِي ذَنْباً إلَى ذَنْبِي،

wa'aʿūdhu bihi min sharri al-shayṭāni allathī yazīdunī dhamban ilā dhambī

I seek refuge in Him from the evil of SATAN who adds sins to my sin.

وَأَحْتَرِزُ بِهِ مِنْ كُلِّ جَبَّار فاجِر، وَسُلْطان جآئر، وَعَدُوٍّ قاهِر.

wa ahtarizu bihi min kulli jabbār fājir, wa sulṭān jā'ir, wa 'aduwwin qāhir

I seek protection with Him from every wicked tyrant, unjust sovereign, and conquering enemy.

أَللَّهُمَّ

allāhummah

O ALLAH,

اجْعَلْنِي مِنْ جُنْدِكَ فَإنَّ جُنْدَكَ هُمُ الْغالِبُونَ،

ijʿalni min jundika fa inn jundaka humul-ghālibūn

place me among Thy troops, for Thy troops—they are the victors,

وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ حِزْبِكَ; فَإنَّ حِزْبَكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ،

wa-jʿal-ni min ḥizbika fa-inna ḥizbaka hum al-mufliḥūn

place me in Thy party, for Thy party—they are the ones who prosper,

وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ أَوْلِيآئِكَ; فَإنَّ أَوْلِيَاءَكَ لا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ.

wa-ajʿalnī min awliyā'ika, fa-inna awliyā'aka lā khawfun ʿalayhim walā hum yaḥzanūn

and place me among Thy friends, for Thy friends—no fear shall be upon them, nor shall they sorrow.

أَللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِيْنِي فَإنَّهُ عِصْمَةُ أَمْرِي،

allāhumma aṣliḥ lī dīnī fa innahu 'iṣmatu amrī

O ALLAH, set right for me my religion, for it is the preserving tie of my affair,

وَأَصْلِحْ لِي آخِرَتِي فَإنَّهَا دارُ مَقَرِّي، وَإلَيْها مِنْ مُجاوَرَةِ اللِّئامِ مَفَرِّي،

wa aṣliḥ liyākhiratī fa innahā dāru maqarrī, wa ilayhā min mujāwarati lli'ām mafarrī

set right for me my hereafter, for it is the abode of my permanent lodging and to it I flee from the neighborhood of the vile!

وَاجْعَلِ الْحَياةَ زِيادَةً لِي فِي كُلِّ خَيْر،

wajʿalil-ḥayāta ziyādan lī fī kulli khayr

Make life an increase for me in every good

وَالْوَفاةَ رَاحَةً لِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ.

wa al-wafā'a rāḥatan lī min kulli shar

AND death an ease for me from every evil!

أَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد خاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ وَتَمَامِ عِدَّةِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ

allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā muḥammad khātimi al-nabiyyīn wa tamāmi ʿiddati al-mursalīn

O ALLAH, bless MUHAMMAD, the Seal of the Prophets and the completion of the number of the envoys,

وَعَلَى آلِهِ الطَّيِّبِينَ الطَّاهِرِينَ،

wa ʿalā ālihi aṭ-ṭayyibīna aṭ-ṭāhirīn

his Household, the good, the pure,

وَأَصْحَابِهِ الْمُنْتَجَبِينَ

wa-as-ha-bi-hi al-mun-ta-ja-been

and his Companions, the distinguished,

وَهَبْ لِي فِي الثُلُثآءِ ثَلاثاً:

wa hab li fil-thuluthā'i thalāthan

and give me on the Tuesday three things: Leave

لا تَدَعْ لِي ذَنْباً إلاَّ غَفَرْتَهُ،

lā tadʿa li ḏanban illā ġafartahu

no sin for me unless Thou forgivest it,

وَلا غَمّاً إلاَّ أَذْهَبْتَهُ،

wa lā ghammān illā adhbahū

no grief unless Thou takest it away,

وَلا عَدُوّاً إلاَّ دَفَعْتَهُ.

wa lā ʿaduwwan illā dafʿtahu

and no enemy unless Thou repellest him!

بِبِسْمِ اللهِ خَيْرِ الاَسْمآءِ،

bismi-llāhi khayri-l-asmā'i

By means of 'in the name of ALLAH', the best of the Names,

بِسْمِ اللهِ رَبِّ الاَرْضِ وَالسَّمآءِ،

bismi allahi rabbi al-ardhi wa al-sama'i

in the name of ALLAH, Lord of earth and heaven,

أَسْتَدْفِعُ كُلَّ مَكْرُوه أَوَّلُهُ سَخَطُهُ،

astadfihu kulla makroohin awwaluhu sakhatuhu

I seek to repulse every hateful thing, the first of which is His anger,

وَأَسْتَجْلِبُ كُلَّ مَحْبُوب أَوَّلُهُ رِضاهُ.

wa-astajlibu kullama mahbubin awwaluhu ridhahu

and I seek to attract every lovable thing, the first of which is His good pleasure!

The Supplication For Tuesday

Duaa

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

bismi allāhi al-raḥmāni al-raḥīm

In the Name of ALLAH, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate

أَلْحَمْدُ للّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ حَقُّهُ كَما يَسْتَحِقُّهُ حَمْداً كَثِيراً.

al-ḥamdu lillāhi wa-l-ḥamdu ḥaqquhu kamā yastaḥiqquhu ḥamdan kathīran

Praise belongs to ALLAH—and praise is His right, since He deserves it—abundant praise!

وَأَعُوذُ بِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي،

wa'a'ūdhū bihī min sharri nafsī

I seek refuge in Him from the evil of my soul,

allāhumma aṣliḥ lī dīnī fa innahu 'iṣmatu amrī

أَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد خاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ وَتَمَامِ عِدَّةِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ

allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā muḥammad khātimi al-nabiyyīn wa tamāmi ʿiddati al-mursalīn

O ALLAH, bless MUHAMMAD, the Seal of the Prophets and the completion of the number of the envoys,

وَعَلَى آلِهِ الطَّيِّبِينَ الطَّاهِرِينَ،

wa ʿalā ālihi aṭ-ṭayyibīna aṭ-ṭāhirīn

his Household, the good, the pure,

and give me on the Tuesday three things: Leave

By means of 'in the name of ALLAH', the best of the Names,

So seal me with forgiveness from Thee,
