The Supplication For Saturday
Duaa
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
bismi allāhi al-raḥmāni al-raḥīm
In the Name of ALLAH, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate
بِسْمِ الِلّهِ كَلِمَةِ الْمُعْتَصِمِينَ،
bismillahi kalimati al-mu'tasimiin
'In the name of ALLAH', the word of those who hold fast to Him,
وَمَقالَةِ الْمُتَحَرِّزِينَ،
wa maqālati al-mutaharriẓīn
the speech of those who seek His protection
وَأَعُوذُ بِالِلّه تَعالى مِنْ
wa aʿūdhu billāhi taʿālā min
I seek refuge in ALLAH (high exalted is He) from
جَوْرِ الْجآئِرِينَ،
jawr al-jāʾirīn
the injustice of the unjust,
وَكَيْدِ الْحاسِدِينَ،
wa kaydi al-hasidin
the trickery of the enviers,
وَبَغْيِ الظَّالِمِينَ،
wa baghyi alẓẓalimīn
and the oppression of the wrongdoers,
وَأَحْمَدُهُ فَوْقَ حَمْدِ الْحامِدِينَ.
wa'aḥmaduhu fawqa ḥamdi al-ḥāmidīn
and I praise Him beyond the praise of the praisers!
أَللَّهُمَّ
allāhumma
O ALLAH,
أَنْتَ الْواحِدُ بِلا شَرِيك،
anta al-wāhidu bilā sharīk
Thou art the One without partner,
وَالْمَلِكُ بِلا تَمْلِيك،
wal-maliku bila tamlik
and the King without having been made sovereign;
لا تُضَادُّ فِي حُكْمِكَ،
la tuḍāddu fī ḥukmika
no one opposes Thee in Thy decree
وَلا تُنازَعُ فِي مُلْكِكَ.
wa lā tunāzaʿu fī mulkika
and no one contests Thee in Thy kingdom
أَسْأَلُكَ
as'aluka
I ask Thee to
أَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ، عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُولِكَ،
an tuṣalliya ʿala muḥammad wa ālihi, ʿabdika wa rasulika
bless MUHAMMAD and his Household, Thy servant and Thy messenger,
وَأَنْ تُوزِعَنِي مِنْ شُكْرِ نُعْماكَ ما تَبْلُغُ بِي غايَةَ رِضاكَ،
wa an tūzīʿanī min shukri nuʿmāka mā tablughu bī ghāyat ar-rīdāka
inspire me with a thanksgiving for Thy favours which will take me to the utmost limit of Thy good pleasure,
وَأَنْ تُعِينَنِي عَلى طاعَتِكَ، وَلُزُومِ عِبادَتِكَ، وَاسْتِحْقاقِ مَثُوبَتِكَ بِلُطْفِ عِنايَتِكَ،
wa an tu'eenanee 'ala ta'atika, wa luzoomi 'ibadatika, wa istihiqaaqa mathoobatika bil-lutfi 'inayatika
help me through the gentleness of Thy solicitude to obey Thee, hold fast to worshiping Thee, and deserve Thy reward,
وَتَرْحَمَنِي، وَتَصُدَّنِي [صُدَّني خ ل] عَنْ مَعَاصِيكَ مَا أَحْيَيْتَنِي،
wa tarḥamanī, wa taṣuddanī [ṣuddanī kh-l] ʿan maʿāṣīka mā aḥyaytanī
have mercy upon me, bar me from acts of disobedience toward Thee as long as Thou keepest me alive,
وَتُوَفِّقَنِي لِما يَنْفَعُنِي ما أَبْقَيْتَنِي،
wa tuwaffiqanii limaa yanfa'unii maa abqaytanii
give me success in what profits me as long as Thou sparest me,
وَأَنْ تَشْرَحَ بِكِتابِكَ صَدْرِي،
wa anna tashracha bi-kitabika sadri
expand my breast through Thy Book,
وَتَحُطَّ بِتِلاوَتِهِ وِزْرِي،
wa taḥuṭṭa bi tilāwatihi wizri
lessen my burden through its recitation,
وَتَمْنَحَنِي السَّلامَةَ فِي دِينِي وَنَفْسِي،
wa tamnahanī al-salāmata fī dīnī wa nafsī
bestow upon me health in my religion and my soul,
وَلا تُوحِشَ بِي أَهْلَ أُنْسِي،
wa lā tūḥisha bī ahlā unsī
estrange not my intimates from me,
وَتُتِمَّ إحْسَانَكَ فِيما بَقِيَ مِنْ عُمُرِي
wa tutimmu iħsānaka fīmā baqiya min ʿumurī
and complete Thy beneficence in what is left of my lifetime,
كَما أَحْسَنْتَ فِيما مَضَى مِنْهُ
kamā aḥsanta fīmā maḍā minhu
just as Thou hast shown beneficence in that of it which has passed!
يا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.
yā arḥama al-rāḥimīn
O Most Merciful of the merciful!
